LEADERSHIP
MICHELLE SNEEDFOUNDER & CEO
Michelle Sneed is a veteran television and film industry executive with over 17 years of experience spanning the scripted and unscripted entertainment arenas.
Known for her revered leadership skills and as a decisive team player – striking the balance between creative and production throughout all phases of content development, execution and exhibition, Michelle decided to take her talents, experience and passion to start her latest endeavor: A Few Good Women Productions, where she and the dynamic women around her are asking the question “Why do big studios get to have all the fun?” This boutique studio and production company operates under a hybrid traditional motion picture studio model combined with the foundation of a production company. It is founded on the notion that it is crucial to create vehicles for fair, equal, and meaningful opportunity for diverse creatives, both in front of and behind the camera, starting in the equitable and executive-level roles — because the Company believes that true opportunity for diverse storytelling and ownership starts at the top. The power to greenlight and underwrite these projects with high-integrity deal-making is essential to the future and standing of diverse executives, producers and storytellers.
A Few Good Women Productions embraces projects driven by complex and dynamic characters who represent diverse people, places, cultures, and concepts. Primarily rooted in scripted episodic content and feature films, with the belief that “as long as there’s great story and vision, we can make it come to life.”
Prior to starting her own company, Michelle served as the President of Production and Development for Tyler Perry Studios, overseeing all film, television, and new media projects. During her tenure in this role, Michelle led the launches and executive produced 7 brand new television shows and one re-boot, resulting in over 450 episodes of television and three feature films produced during her tenure. Michelle’s work includes the top-rated and most successful series for BET Networks including “Sistas,” “The Oval,” and for BET+ streaming platform, “Ruthless,” “Bruh” and “All the Queen’s Men.” Sneed also executive produced “Young Dylan” for Nickelodeon and served in the same role for Netflix features “A Fall From Grace”, “A Madea Homecoming” and “Jazzman’s Blues”.
Before her role at Tyler Perry Studios, Sneed served as Director of Physical Production for BET Networks, where she oversaw and executed over 100 packages of short-form programming in addition to multiple original docu and reality series, critically acclaimed late-night talk show The Rundown with Robin Thede, the classic BET Awards, and multiple specials, and tentpole events. Media outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Power 100 and Essence Magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood have recognized Michelle for this vast work multiple times.
A graduate of Michigan State University and serves on the Board of Governors for the coveted Paley Center, as well as for the DreamChasers Foundation, and in 2022 was honored with the “Givers Award” for the foundation Girls With Gifts. Michelle is also a member of the Producers Guild of America and resides in Los Angeles, California.
Veteran television and film executive Tsedy Gebeyehu is the President of A FEW GOOD WOMEN PRODUCTIONS. In this role, she is responsible for leading day to day operations, production and development for all television, film and digital media projects at the studio.
Born in Harar, Ethiopia, Gebeyehu immigrated to the United States as a teenager and attended Howard University where she studied communications with a specific focus on television and film production. Once she graduated summa cum laude, Gebeyehu began working in finance for Painewebber, Inc and UBS Financial Services before deciding to transition to her first love —entertainment – full time. For the next several years, she worked in numerous capacities as a production accountant, production manager, line producer, senior director of physical production and production executive for Tyler Perry Studios, NBC Universal, All 3Media, Matador Content and Sesame Street/Sesame Workshop.
With over fifteen years of experience, her credits span a myriad of content including the scripted series “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” The Enemy Within,” “The Bold Type” “All The Queens Men,” “The Oval,” “Sistas,” “House Of Payne,” “Meet The Browns,” the unscripted series “Alaska Proof,” live special “The Wiz,” stage play “Madea’s Farewell Tour” and the feature films “For Colored Girls,” “Why Did I Get Married,” “A Jazzman’s Blues,” and “A Madea Homecoming.”
An education advocate, Gebeyehu sits on the board of Diaspora Crossings, an organization committed to investing in career prep programs for college students pursuing professional and business-related careers in sports, entertainment, media, the arts and tech industries. Gebeyehu currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
Tracy McGraw is the Chief Communications Officer for A FEW GOOD WOMEN PRODUCTIONS. In this role she is the primary communications strategist for the company leading the planning, development and execution of global multi-platform communications, publicity, prosocial, marketing and social media campaigns to support the company’s original content, mission, vision and values.
An accomplished senior leader, McGraw has spent the last two decades reshaping and driving positive brand and corporate reputations for top entertainment and technology companies including X (formerly Twitter), Tyler Perry Studios, BET Networks, VH1, CBS and Lifetime Television.
Most recently, McGraw was the Head of Global Consumer Communications for X (formerly Twitter) where she was responsible for leading publicity efforts for the social media giant’s product and consumer launches, partner announcements, cultural events and marketing initiatives. Prior to X, she led the publicity efforts for the 2019 grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios as well as created media partnerships with various production entities to amplify the purpose and vision of the studio.
McGraw spent a significant portion of her career at Paramount Global (previously Viacom) where she held senior communications positions at BET and VH1 networks developing, executing and managing creative, impactful and high-volume communications programs, publicity outreach campaigns, strategic marketing as well as digital and social media initiatives. At BET, she managed publicity campaigns for the original series Being Mary Jane, The Game, Real Husbands of Hollywood as well as their award shows BET Awards, Black Girls Rock, BET Honors and more. At VH1, McGraw created and launched publicity campaigns for original series and award shows including The RuPaul Show, Behind The Music, Pop Up Video, VH1 Divas and Hip Hop Honors.
McGraw began her career at Lifetime television as a publicist before becoming a senior publicist at CBS Television.
Recognized as a power player on the Observer’s 2020 PR Power 50 Next list, McGraw is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
